River is a grumpy halfling who loves to play practical jokes on just about everyone, though Aziminil is the easiest target and therefore the most common one. She is very good at what she does (stealing, sneaking, and stabbing enemies in the back), except for one problem: her hair. Long before River met Colonel Popcorn or anyone else in her party, River actually got caught in a trap. Luckily for River, the trap was not a very good one, so instead of the trap turning our rogue into a flower as it was supposed to, it only turned her hair a brilliant shade of blue. River tried to change it by dying it black (which she preferred to her original auburn hair anyway), but the spell was too stubborn, much like River herself. Therefore, River always wears a black bandana to conceal her distinctive hair. River is very antisocial, having made only one friend (Colonel Popcorn) entirely on her own. She met Colonel P. before anyone else in the party because she was stealing beer at the same bar where Colonel was playing. River somehow managed to remain close friends with him, and made even more friends because of him. Not much is known about River’s past because she never seems to talk about it. When people try and bring it up, she simply changes the subject. She doses’t get emotional about it, either. It takes a lot to make River emotional.
